The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has launched the “Saudi Founding” initiative aimed at training and qualifying 100,000 young Saudi men and women to join the job market in data and artificial intelligence fields.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, Governor of SDAIA, stated: “This initiative comes as part of Saudi Vision 2030 and in line with the wise leadership’s directives to empower Saudi youth and prepare them for the future.”
The “Saudi Founding” initiative aims to increase job nationalization rates in the data and artificial intelligence sector to 40% by 2024. It also seeks to enable 20,000 male and female citizens to work in these fields over the next five years.
According to statistics, the number of expected jobs in the artificial intelligence sector in the Kingdom is projected to reach 50,000 by 2030. The initiative is expected to contribute to employing 40% of these positions with Saudi citizens.
The initiative includes intensive training programs in data science and artificial intelligence fields, workshops and specialized training courses, in addition to practical training opportunities in leading companies and institutions.
Al-Ghamdi confirmed that “Saudi Founding” will contribute to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 by diversifying the economy and creating new job opportunities for Saudi youth, ensuring a promising future for the Kingdom in the era of data and artificial intelligence.
