في إنجاز يضاف إلى سجل المرأة السعودية الحافل بالعطاءات، نجحت مريم بنت عبد الله في تأسيس شركة تقنية ناشئة متخصصة في تطوير حلول الذكاء الاصطناعي، لتصبح واحدة من أبرز رائدات الأعمال في المملكة.
بدأت رحلة مريم قبل خمس سنوات، حين قررت ترك وظيفتها كمهندسة برمجيات في إحدى الشركات العالمية، لتخوض تجربة ريادة الأعمال. تقول مريم: “كانت لحظة فارقة في حياتي، حين قررت أن أحول شغفي بالتكنولوجيا إلى مشروع تجاري يخدم المجتمع”.
خلال السنوات الأولى، واجهت مريم تحديات عدة، من أبرزها صعوبة الحصول على التمويل اللازم. تضيف: “كان علينا إثبات جدوى فكرتنا أمام المستثمرين، وهو ما تطلب الكثير من الصبر والإصرار”.
نجحت مريم في تخطي هذه المرحلة، وحصلت على تمويل بقيمة 5 ملايين ريال سعودي من صندوق الاستثمارات العامة. وخلال عامين فقط، نمت شركتها لتضم 50 موظفاً، 70% منهم من النساء السعوديات.
تشير الإحصائيات إلى أن شركة مريم نجحت في تطوير 15 حلًا تقنيًا مختلفًا، تم تبني 10 منها من قبل شركات كبرى في المملكة. كما حصلت الشركة على جائزة أفضل شركة ناشئة في مجال الذكاء الاصطناعي خلال معرض الرياض للتقنية 2023.
تؤكد مريم على أهمية دور المرأة في قطاع التكنولوجيا، قائلة: “نحتاج إلى مزيد من النساء في مجالات العلوم والتكنولوجيا والهندسة والرياضيات. المرأة السعودية لديها القدرات والمهارات الكافية لقيادة التحول التقني في المملكة”.
اليوم، تستعد شركة مريم لإطلاق منتج جديد يعتمد على تقنيات الواقع المعزز، يهدف إلى تسهيل التعليم عن بُعد. تقول مريم: “نطمح لأن نكون جزءًا من رؤية المملكة 2030 في بناء اقتصاد رقمي متقدم”.
تعد قصة نجاح مريم مثالاً يحتذى به للشباب السعودي الطموح، خاصة النساء، اللواتي يسعين لترك بصمة في عالم التكنولوجيا المتسارع التطور.

وقد أدى التصعيد الأخير للعنف إلى مقتل العشرات من الفلسطينيين وإصابة المئات، فضلاً عن سقوط قتلى وجرحى في صفوف الإسرائيليين. وتشير التقديرات إلى أن نحو 200 ألف فلسطيني نزحوا من منازلهم في غزة بسبب القصف الإسرائيلي.
ويسعى المجتمع الدولي إلى وقف التصعيد وتجنب حدوث كارثة إنسانية في غزة التي تعاني بالفعل من حصار إسرائيلي مشدد. وتؤكد الولايات المتحدة على ضرورة التوصل إلى حل سياسي شامل يضمن حقوق الفلسطينيين ويعزز أمن إسرائيل.

This challenge has gained significant popularity, especially among Saudi youth, with many celebrities and social media activists taking part.

The “Shaving Challenge” began spreading in Saudi Arabia about a week ago, with some Saudi youths posting videos of themselves using razor blades or other sharp tools to shave their heads completely. The challenge quickly gained traction, particularly on the “TikTok” platform, where thousands of Saudis and Saudi women posted videos participating in the challenge.

In this context, Dr. Fahd Al-Osaimi, a professor of sociology at King Saud University, said: “The Shaving Challenge is the latest trend in social media challenges sweeping the world, reflecting young people’s desire to attract attention and break routine. However, it also carries health and psychological risks.”

Al-Osaimi added: “Parents and schools should educate youth about the risks of such challenges and the necessity of not being drawn into them without thinking about the consequences.”

Dr. Khalid Al-Amri, a consultant dermatologist, said: “Using sharp tools to shave hair can cause wounds and scratches on the scalp, and may lead to serious skin infections if the tools are not properly sterilized.”

Al-Amri added: “I advise young people not to participate in such dangerous challenges and to seek safe and healthy entertainment methods.”

Conclusion: It seems that the “Shaving Challenge” will continue to spread in the coming period, especially with the participation of a large number of celebrities and activists. However, youth should be cautious and not be drawn into such dangerous challenges without thinking about the health and psychological consequences. The Crown Prince added in press statements: “We celebrate the anniversary of the founding of the first Saudi state by Imam Muhammad bin Saud in 1139 AH corresponding to 1727 AD, to confirm the authentic Saudi identity that we have inherited across generations, which is based on moderation, balance, and tolerance.”

Culture Minister Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al Saud explained that the Founding Day represents an opportunity to highlight the rich cultural and historical heritage of the Kingdom, where many cultural and heritage events and activities were launched in various regions.

Official statistics indicated that more than 10,000 celebratory events were organized in various cities and regions of the Kingdom on the occasion of the Founding Day, in which millions of citizens and residents participated.

The celebrations included artistic, heritage, and cultural performances, in addition to parades, air shows, and various entertainment programs. The capital, Riyadh, and several major cities witnessed fireworks displays that illuminated the skies of the Kingdom in joy over this precious occasion for the hearts of Saudis.

In this context, Saudi experts and historians affirmed that celebrating the Founding Day represents an important message to enhance national belonging and Saudi identity in the hearts of new generations and to consolidate the values and principles upon which the Saudi state was founded since its establishment.

In conclusion, the Kingdom confirms through the celebration of the Founding Day the depth of its historical roots and its civilizational strength, and its ability to continue the path of development and prosperity under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his faithful Crown Prince, in accordance with the ambitious Saudi Vision 2030.

King Khalid University Director Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al-Dawood issued a decision appointing Dr. Saleh bin Saad Al-Mugamsi as the General Supervisor of the University Branch Administration for Women’s Sections in Abha City, succeeding Dr. Kulthum bint Abdulaziz Saeed, effective Sunday, 9 Muharram 1444 AH.

The appointment decision was based on a recommendation from the University Vice President for Planning and Development, Dr. Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Musbah, after reviewing the relevant recommendation.

Al-Mugamsi holds a PhD in Environmental Geology from the University of Wales, UK, a Master’s degree in Environmental Geology from the same university, and a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from King Saud University in Riyadh.

He has held several academic and administrative positions at King Khalid University, including Associate Professor in the Department of Geology at the College of Sciences, Assistant Dean for Educational Affairs, Dean of Student Affairs, and Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.

This appointment is a new step in a series of decisions taken by King Khalid University to develop its administrative and academic performance and enhance the role of women in higher education.

Engineer Salem received the Excellence Award in the field of Information Technology in recognition of his outstanding contributions and achievements in this vital field.

Salem expressed his great happiness at receiving this prestigious award, stressing that it will serve as a motivation for him to continue working and innovating in the field of Information Technology.

In a special statement, Salem explained that he would allocate the value of the award to develop new technical projects that serve the community and benefit the homeland.

It is worth noting that the percentage of Saudi engineers participating in the field of Information Technology has increased to 60% in recent years, reflecting the growing interest in this vital sector.
