Al-Kharj Governor Launches “Stay at Home” Campaign and Directs Closure of Non-Essential Commercial Activities

His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Al-Kharj region, launched the “Stay at Home” campaign to raise awareness about the importance of remaining at home and limiting gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic period.
His Highness directed the closure of all non-essential commercial activities in the governorate, in order to preserve the health and safety of citizens and residents. He also stressed the necessity for commercial establishments to comply with precautionary measures and preventive procedures.
His Highness confirmed that the campaign aims to raise awareness about the importance of social distancing and following health guidelines, noting that the governorate will not tolerate violators and will take legal measures against them.
This step comes as part of the efforts being made to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
