Founding Day: The Kingdom Celebrates Its Rich Historical Roots

Washington – The US Ambassador to the United Nations began a trip to the Middle East on Sunday, in a new diplomatic effort to stop the fighting in Gaza and make progress towards a two-state solution. This tour comes in the wake of escalating violence between Israel and Palestinian armed factions.

During his visit to Israel, the ambassador met with several senior Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Benny Gantz. This visit comes amid continued security tensions in East Jerusalem and the West Bank.

The United States has expressed deep concern over the escalation of violence and called for restraint from all parties. A State Department spokesperson said: “We are working closely with our Israeli and Palestinian partners to de-escalate the situation.”

The US ambassador is also expected to visit the Palestinian Authority and other Arab capitals during his multi-day tour. These diplomatic efforts come at a critical time as fears grow of a new Palestinian uprising.

The recent escalation of violence has resulted in dozens of Palestinian deaths and hundreds of injuries, as well as casualties on the Israeli side. Estimates indicate that around 200,000 Palestinians have been displaced from their homes in Gaza due to Israeli airstrikes.

The international community is seeking to halt the escalation and avoid a humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, which is already suffering from a tight Israeli blockade. The United States emphasizes the need to reach a comprehensive political solution that ensures Palestinian rights and enhances Israel’s security.

Al-Hilal team achieved a thrilling victory over Al-Ittihad with two goals to one, in the match that brought them together this evening at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, within the 23rd round of the Roshn Saudi League for Professionals.

The match started with an attacking pressure from Al-Ittihad, who managed to open the scoring early through their Brazilian player Romarinho da Silva in the 15th minute, after a decisive pass from his teammate Abdul Rahman Al-Aboud.

In the second half, Al-Hilal managed to return to the match with the equalizing goal through their star Salem Al-Dawsari in the 68th minute, after a wonderful pass from his teammate Salem Al-Dawsari.

In the last minutes of the match, Al-Hilal managed to snatch the winning goal through their French striker Karim Benzema in the 90+3 minute, after a decisive pass from his teammate Salem Al-Dawsari.

With this victory, Al-Hilal raised their tally to 52 points at the top of the league standings, while Al-Ittihad’s tally froze at 39 points in third place.

In his statements after the match, Al-Hilal coach Juan Lopez said: “We presented a strong match and deserved the victory, we are happy with the result and hope to continue at this level in the upcoming matches.”

On the other hand, Al-Ittihad coach Nuno Santo said: “We presented a good match in the first half, but Al-Hilal managed to return in the second half and snatch the victory in the end, we respect them and wish them luck in the upcoming matches.”

With this victory, Al-Hilal continues its pursuit of the league title, while Al-Ittihad continues its struggle to secure a qualifying position for the AFC Champions League.

كشفت دراسة علمية حديثة أجراها باحثون في مجال الصحة العامة أن ممارسة نشاط بدني معتدل لمدة 30 دقيقة يومياً يمكن أن يطيل العمر ويحسن جودة الحياة بشكل ملحوظ.
وأظهرت النتائج التي نُشرت في مجلة “لانسيت” الطبية أن الأشخاص الذين يمارسون المشي السريع أو ركوب الدراجات أو أي نشاط بدني متوسط الكثافة لمدة نصف ساعة يومياً يقل لديهم خطر الوفاة المبكرة بنسبة تصل إلى 28% مقارنة بأولئك الذين لا يمارسون أي نشاط بدني.
وأكد الباحث الرئيسي في الدراسة، الدكتور جيمس سميث، أن “حتى الكميات الصغيرة من النشاط البدني يمكن أن تحدث فرقاً كبيراً في الصحة العامة”. وأضاف: “لا يحتاج الناس إلى الذهاب إلى صالة الألعاب الرياضية أو ممارسة تمارين شاقة، فمجرد المشي السريع أو صعود الدرج أو القيام بالأعمال المنزلية يمكن أن يكون كافياً”.
وشملت الدراسة أكثر من 130 ألف شخص من 17 دولة حول العالم، وتمت متابعتهم لمدة 7 سنوات. وأظهرت النتائج أن فوائد النشاط البدني تشمل تقليل خطر الإصابة بأمراض القلب والسكري والسرطان، بالإضافة إلى تحسين الصحة العقلية والنفسية.
وتوصي منظمة الصحة العالمية البالغين بممارسة 150 دقيقة على الأقل من النشاط البدني المعتدل أسبوعياً، أو 75 دقيقة من النشاط البدني القوي، بالإضافة إلى تمارين تقوية العضلات مرتين أسبوعياً على الأقل.
وخلصت الدراسة إلى أن دمج النشاط البدني في الروتين اليومي يعد أحد أكثر الطرق فعالية للوقاية من الأمراض المزمنة وإطالة العمر، مؤكدة أن “القليل من الحركة يومياً يمكن أن يحدث فرقاً كبيراً في الصحة العامة”.

شهد ملعب الملك فهد الدولي بالرياض، قمة نارية ضمن منافسات الجولة الخامسة عشرة من دوري روشن السعودي، جمعت بين الهلال والاتحاد، وانتهت بفوز عريض لصالح الفريق الأزرق بنتيجة 3-0، في مباراة شهدت تألقاً لافتاً من نجوم العاصمة، وتراجعاً مفاجئاً من حامل اللقب.
بدأت المباراة بسيطرة هلالية واضحة، حيث نجح الفريق في فرض إيقاعه منذ البداية، مستغلاً تراجع خط وسط الاتحاد. وفي الدقيقة 23، افتتح سالم الدوسري التسجيل بتسديدة قوية من داخل منطقة الجزاء، ليمنح الهلال التقدم المستحق. ومع بداية الشوط الثاني، عزز جانغ هيون سو تقدم الهلال بهدف ثانٍ في الدقيقة 59، قبل أن يختتم مالكوم الثلاثية في الدقيقة 72 بتسديدة رائعة من خارج المنطقة.
وعلّق المدرب الروماني رازفان لوشيسكو، مدرب الهلال، على الفوز قائلاً: “قدمنا مباراة كبيرة من الناحية التكتيكية والفنية. اللاعبون نفذوا التعليمات بدقة، واستحقينا النقاط الثلاث”.
في المقابل، عبّر المدرب نونو سانتو، مدرب الاتحاد، عن استيائه من الأداء قائلاً: “لم نظهر بالمستوى المطلوب اليوم. الهلال كان أفضل في كل الخطوط، ويجب علينا العمل بجدية لتصحيح الأخطاء”.
وبهذه النتيجة، رفع الهلال رصيده إلى 37 نقطة في صدارة جدول الترتيب، بينما تجمد رصيد الاتحاد عند 28 نقطة في المركز الرابع.
يُذكر أن هذه المباراة شهدت حضوراً جماهيرياً كبيراً، حيث امتلأت المدرجات بالجماهير المتحمسة، مما أضفى أجواءً مثيرة على اللقاء.

انطلقت فعاليات الدورة الثالثة من مهرجان البلح في منطقة حائل، تحت رعاية صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير عبدالعزيز بن سعد بن عبدالعزيز أمير منطقة حائل، وبحضور معالي وزير البيئة والمياه والزراعة المهندس عبدالرحمن بن عبدالمحسن الفضلي وعدد من المسؤولين.
ويهدف المهرجان، الذي يستمر حتى نهاية نوفمبر الجاري، إلى إبراز الدور الاقتصادي والاجتماعي لنخيل التمر في المملكة، وتعزيز مكانة منطقة حائل كإحدى أهم مناطق إنتاج التمور على مستوى المملكة.
وأشار معالي وزير البيئة والمياه والزراعة المهندس عبدالرحمن الفضلي إلى أن المملكة تنتج سنوياً نحو 1.5 مليون طن من التمور، تستهلك منها 1.2 مليون طن محلياً، فيما يتم تصدير الباقي إلى مختلف دول العالم.
من جانبه، أوضح مدير فرع وزارة البيئة والمياه والزراعة بمنطقة حائل المهندس صالح المغامسي أن منطقة حائل تضم أكثر من 5 ملايين نخلة تنتج سنوياً نحو 75 ألف طن من التمور، مشيراً إلى أن المهرجان يسهم في دعم المزارعين وتسويق منتجاتهم.
وشهد المهرجان، الذي يقام في مركز المعارض والمؤتمرات بحائل، إقبالاً كبيراً من الزوار الذين تعرفوا على أنواع التمور المختلفة واستمتعوا بالفعاليات المصاحبة التي تشمل عروضاً فلكلورية وفقرات تراثية.
وأكد المغامسي أن المهرجان يسهم في تعزيز السياحة الزراعية بالمنطقة، ويفتح آفاقاً جديدة للاستثمار في قطاع النخيل والتمور، متوقعاً أن يحقق المهرجان هذا العام نجاحاً كبيراً كما حدث في الدورتين السابقتين.
يذكر أن منطقة حائل تعد من أهم مناطق زراعة النخيل في المملكة، حيث تتميز بمناخ ملائم وتربة خصبة، مما جعلها تحتضن العديد من المزارع التي تنتج أجود أنواع التمور مثل الخلاص والسكري والرزيز وغيرها من الأصناف المميزة.

In statements carried by the official Saudi Press Agency, Sheikh Saleh called for the necessity of societal cohesion and cooperation among its members in facing the challenges confronting the nation, affirming that “unity and social fabric cohesion are the way to achieve progress and prosperity.”

The Sheikh’s statements came during his participation in a national forum organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance in Riyadh, in the presence of a number of scholars, thinkers, and those interested in social affairs.

Sheikh Saleh added that “the nation is going through a sensitive phase that requires us all to stand united behind our wise leadership, and work diligently and sincerely to achieve the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and its aspirations towards a better future.”

He pointed out that “the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, both leadership and people, is moving steadily and confidently towards the future, based on its moderate Islamic principles and its firm national constants.”

Sheikh Saleh emphasized the importance of preserving national identity and Islamic values in light of the rapid transformations the world is witnessing, stressing the necessity of “consolidating the values of moderation and combating extremism and excessiveness in all its forms.”

He urged the youth to “adhere to the values of their fathers and grandfathers, and work diligently and sincerely to serve their nation and contribute to building its bright future.”

Sheikh Saleh concluded his statements by praying to God to “protect this dear homeland from all evil, perpetuate upon it the blessings of security, safety, and prosperity, and guide our wise leadership to what is good for the country and the people.”
