Karim Benzema Leads Al-Ittihad to Historic Victory Over Al-Fayha

French star Karim Benzema led his Al-Ittihad Jeddah team to a decisive 4-1 victory over Al-Fayha in the Roshn Saudi League, scoring two goals and assisting another in a match where the 36-year-old player displayed outstanding performance.
After the match, Benzema said: “I feel great happiness with this victory and my contribution to achieving it. The team is delivering distinguished performances, and I trust our ability to compete for the title this season.” Al-Ittihad coach Nuno Santo added: “Benzema is an exceptional player who always makes the difference. His performance today was perfect in all aspects.”
Benzema’s successful passes reached a 92% accuracy rate during the match, and he took 4 shots on goal, 3 of which were on target. With these two goals, he raised his tally to 8 goals at the top of the Saudi League scorers’ chart this season.
Benzema began his journey with Al-Ittihad Jeddah in the summer of 2023, joining from Spanish club Real Madrid, where he won 25 titles with the royal team, including 5 UEFA Champions League titles. In his first season with the Saudi “Al-Askari” (The Commandant), he succeeded in leading the team to win the league title after a 10-year absence.
